ProWood is the brand of choice for pros and do-it-yourselfers. Its MCA (micronized copper azole) formula makes it less corrosive than other pressure-treated products. A talented team of wood-preservation experts ensures that every ProWood product exceeds the highest standards — ours — for corrosion resistance and low environmental impact.
Superior preservative system
In specially equipped plants across the U.S., UFP Industries treats ProWood with a waterborne wood preservation system containing copper and biocides. As with typical pressure-treated products, these ingredients combine to block termite attacks and fungal decay in above-ground and ground-contact applications. But, thanks to a truly innovative process, the copper in ProWood MCA treated lumber is micronized. This makes the preservative less corrosive and compatible with aluminum building products.
Good for any project and the environment
Thanks to our innovative micronized treatment process, ProWood MCA lumber is odorless, non-staining, and non-irritating to humans, animals and plants. It's not surprising that our MCA process has earned Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) status, as certified by Scientific Certification Systems, a third-party certification services and standards development company. The preservative used in ProWood MCA treated wood also has earned NGBS Green Certification.
